Meet the Partners

Karmen Paley, professional matchmaker, spent five years learning the ropes matching for one of America's largest matchmaking companies. After leading in match quality and quantity for the first half of 2025, they left to start their own business: one where they can work with a smaller, focused set of clients and provide a high-touch, personalized service.
 
Karmen has worked with clients of all genders and sexualities, many of whom are still with their matches today. Their unique approach to matchmaking blends science-based date coaching, personalized date concierge, and curated community events tailor-made to each client.

Our Story

Karmen unofficially started matchmaking when they spent half of middle-school lunch with guy friends and half with girl friends, helping both to woo the other. At home, Karmen grew up watching rom-com after rom-com with family--no other genres would do. Naturally, Karmen developed a penchant and fascination for all things Love. 


Today, Karmen provides full-service LGBTQ+ dating support through Pride Matchmaking™ (formerly Karmen Connects). Karmen works with lesbian, gay, bi, trans, and queer+ individuals who are relationship-ready and looking for love. But, they couldn't leave their allies behind! 

 

Karmen has so many non-LGBTQ+ friends, family, and acquaintances who are also looking for love. So, Karmen developed Personal Match Partners as a way to do just that. While Karmen doesn't personally take on non-LGBTQ+ clients, they do maintain an active rolodex of eligible bachelors and bachelorettes. Here's why: there are over one-hundred matchmakers across the country, most of whom serve non-LGBTQ+ clients, and all of whom seek assistance with recruiting efforts. In building the Personal Match Partners rolodex, Karmen is able to refer quality individuals for incredible matches.
